One of the more interesting things in cookie jar collecting is what captures everyone’s eye and also what is going to be “hot” as a collectible.
As one of the newer entries into the pottery world, Clay Art’s jars made their mark, typically increasing in value by quite a bit. Checking sold prices over the years, many pieces have doubled and tripled the issue prices especially on the licensed and black jars.
Shown is just a small sampling of Clay Art jars. Smokey Bear is one of the highest valued jars, selling for as high as $399 at auction, note it was also done in a another style wearing blue overalls. But even the simple Home Sweet Home has sold as high as over $100.,
