If there is one word that could describe Brush Pottery cookie jars, I would use beautiful. They are well made, the air-brushed finish work is some of the best in the business and the designs make me smile.
At an auction in 2013, Victorian Casino Antiques presented an impressive array of cookie jars up for bid. Some of the jars had furious bidding and there was at least one jar that I scratched my nose at the wrong time. Yep, I did that and wound up with a Muggsy.
Shown are a few of the more interesting jars that could definitely be called Holy Grails by collectors. Known reproductions include the Hillbilly Frog, Peter Pan, Little Boy Blue, and Cow.
