Animals & Company was a studio pottery located in New Mexico that made a variety of art pottery, all animal related, including whimsical teapots, mugs with animals in relief, vases, platters and candle holders.
Three limited cookie jars were created, all rare and very hard-to-find.
The Man with Chicken, and Lady with Cat on her shoulder were both done in a variety of color variations. The jars were all hand-made. A realistic looking Goat’s Head was the third jar, this jar was not very popular, so very few were made.
Jenny Lind and Allen Walter were the husband and wife team that produced these treasures, Jenny did the design work and while Allen worked on the mold design.
In 1994 Jenny Lind and Allan Walter, still in Santa Fe, started a new company Rainbow Gate producing dinnerware and still in existence in 2024. (Note: Jenny passed away in 2011.)
The very few sold prices available of the examples below are in the $500 range.
