Glossary of commonly used terms, words and abbreviations used in the collecting world.
Limited Edition
A piece is set limited to a certain number of piece created. e.g. LE 100 – no more the 100 were made. The less made the better in a collector’s eye. These pieces are often (but not always) numbered per piece. e.g. 1/500 would signify the first piece made in the run.
Limited To may also be used by a company to sedignify no more than a certain number have been made. This is usually a much larger number, e.g. Limited To 5000.
